أعلنت النيابة العامة الفدرالية في بلجيكا توقيف ستة عشر شخصاً على ذمة التحقيق أمس، في إطار تحقيقين بشأن شبكات جهادية شيشانية تضم أشخاصاً قاتلوا في سوريا.
وأوضحت النيابة في بيان، أن الحملة التي قامت بها الشرطة "بشكل منسق" في سائر أرجاء البلاد، شملت 21 مداهمة، مضيفاً "تبين أن المجموعتين مرتبطتان وتنبثقان عن أوساط جهادية دينية لدى قسم من الشيشان".
وأضاف البيان: أن "العمليات حصلت في أوساط المجموعات المتطرفة والسلفيين الشيشان".
وقال رئيس الوزراء «شارل ميشال»: "أحرص على أن أشيد بالعمل الدؤوب لأجهزة الشرطة والقضاء، التي أكدت مرة أخرى التأهب التام والتصميم الكامل للسلطات على التصدي بلا كلل للإرهاب".
وقال: "لن نترك أبداً أي مكان في ديمقراطيتنا لكل هؤلاء الأشخاص، الذين يشكلون تهديداً حقيقياً لمواطنينا".
والعملية التي تمت في "إطار تحقيقين فدراليين حول الارهاب"، الأول أجراه القضاء في انفير (شمال) والثاني في فلاندر الغربية (شمال غرب)، استهدفت مشبوهين في أوستند وبريدين وانفير وجابيكي ولوفان ونامور.
وقالت النيابة العامة أن التحقيق القضائي في فلاندر الغربية، مردّه إلى معلومات تعود إلى شباط/فبراير "حول شخص من اوستند شارك في الجهاد في سوريا"، حيث أصيب قبل أن يعود إلى بلجيكا لتلقي العلاج.
وكشف التحقيق أيضاً، أن "عدداً كبيراً من الأشخاص وردت أسماؤهم في الملف، كانوا ناشطين في سوريا"، فيما "خطط بعض منهم للذهاب أو العودة من سوريا"، وإرسال متطوعين.
وقد بدأ التحقيق القضائي في انفير في كانون الثاني/يناير، ويتعلق بالتورط المحتمل لمجموعة من أربعة شيشانيين من منطقة لوفان في الإعداد لاعتداء في بلجيكا.
وخلال التحقيق، لفت شيشاني خامس مقيم في نامور الانتباه. والمشبوه السادس في هذا الجانب من القضية هو بلجيكي من ضواحي لوفان انضم على ما يبدو إلى الجهاد في سوريا أو العراق.
وأوضحت النيابة، أن "المحققين تعاونوا بشكل وثيق مع السلطات الأميركية حتى تتمكن من مراقبة الاتصالات عبر واتساب"، الذي يستخدمه المشتبه بهم.
